The PCDL is committed to providing parents with the tools needed to help their children get ready to read. Every Child Ready to Read programs are offered weekly online - see the story time link above for the latest programs.. All programs require a caring adult to attend with the child. The five early literacy practices will help every child develop the foundation for reading, listening, writing, and learning for a lifetime. Every Child Ready To Read incorporates simple practices, based on research, to help parents and other caregivers develop early literacy skills in children from birth to age five.
