Putnam County District Library

The Putnam County District Library subscribes to two genealogy databases:

Heritage Quest holds over 250,000 titles including references books, periodicals, Periodical Source Index (PERSI) and census records.  To access this website from home you must hold a Putnam County District Library Card.  Follow these easy instructions to start searching:

1. Click here or on the logo above.
2. Enter "Putnam" in the box, then on "Putnam County District Library" under
                 select your library
3. Click on "Heritage Quest"
4. Type in your library card number, no spaces or dashes, in the box
                 and click on "Submit"
5. Select "Putnam County District Library" then click on "submit"

Ancestry Library Edition allows patrons access to the worldwide census, vital records, newspaper, immigration records, and military records, in addition to family and local histories. This database is available at all locations of the Putnam County District Library. Patrons are welcome to use our computers, or they may access it with thier laptop in any of our buildings.
