Reference Books

The Adult and Juvenile Reference Collection contains many books on a variety of topics. These books are shelved together,  do not circulate,  but can be used anywhere in the library. Pages from these books may be photocopied for personal use.

 Newspapers

The Putnam County District Library carries the local county papers: Continental News Review, Leipsic Messenger, Putnam County Sentinel and Putnam County Vidette. These are held in Ottawa for one month and then are housed with the Local History Collection until they are microfilmed. Other papers the library in Ottawa carries are: Cresent News, Findlay Courier, Lima News, Sunday New York Times and the Toledo Blade. These are held in the library for one week.  All locations in the Putnam County District Library receive the Putnam County Sentinel.
