You may get a new library card at any location for a $2.00 replacement fee.

Yes, the library requests that you have your library card to checkout materials. This is a system-wide policy and is for your protection. If you have lost your library card you can get a new one for a $2.00 replacement fee.

All adult print materials, books on cassette/CD and CDs are $.25 per day per item. All juvenile print materials, books on cassette/CD, CD's  are $.10 per day per item. All DVDs and CD-ROMs are $1.00 per day per item.

You must be 18 years or older to check out DVDs. You may check out up to 5 DVDs.

Unfortunately, no locations of the Putnam County District Library have a color copier.

Yes, you may return items to any of our location, regardless of where you checked them out.

All Print Materials  = four weeks

Adult New Fiction = 14 days

DVD's = one week

New Magazines = overnight

Older Issue Magazines = one week

CD's and CD-ROMS = two weeks

Books on CD or Cassette = four weeks

There are 3 ways to renew materials. You may bring the item into the library and we can renew it at the Circulation Desk. You may telephone any location of the Putnam County District Library. Or you may renew the item online by going to the catalog and clicking on "Renew My Materials". Next enter your library card number and PIN. If you do not know your PIN number, please see the Circulation Desk at any location.** Remember when renewing items, if the item has a hold or it is an adult new Fiction, the system will not let you renew the item.

Yes, log in by going to the catalog and clicking on the service you wish to use.  If you want to see what you have checked out or cancel holds, please click on "Review My Account", otherwise click on "Renew My Materials". Next enter your library card number and PIN. If you do not know your PIN, please see the circulation desk at any location. **Remember when renewing materials, if the item has holds on it or is an adult new fiction, the system will not let you renew the item.

The locations in Ottawa and Continental have fax services available. The costs to send the first five sheets is $2.00 fnd $1.00 for every sheet after.  The cost to receive a fax is $.25 per page.

Copies from the copy machine are $.25 per copy. Copies from a computer printer are $.25 per page for black & white and $.50 per page for color.  Copies from the microfilm printer are $.25 per page.

Yes, the library carries the most common Federal and State tax forms February - April. In addition, the Reference Department can help you locate forms that we do not carry or forms needed between May and January.

No, the library does not have a notary public available for the public

Present a picture ID with your current address at any location, fill out an application to receive your library card.  If your picture ID does not have your current address, you may present it along with 2 bills showing your current address and your library card will be mailed to you.
